Welcome to this site. We are proud to be able to say that we are the oldest male voice choir in Scotland. During the season, 2000/01, we celebrated our Centenary Annual concert. The choir’s origin can be traced back to November 16th 1899 when a rambling group, The Clydebank Rovers, gathered to see off a colleague from Central Station, Glasgow. An interested spectator at the station was Mr Charles Rennie, the prospective brother-in-law of the departing Mr Bob Deacon. A keen judge of choral singing, Mr Rennie commented that the vocal efforts were fine material for a Male Voice Choir. The first official rehearsal was held in McArthur’s Hall, Belmont Street at the beginning of 1900 with Mr Rennie filling the position of conductor, and so was born the Clydebank Male Voice Choir.
